About HephIA

Born from the gathering of three PhDs in AI, including an academic senior researcher in the university, HephIA was created following a successful seed funding round with the Erganeo investment company, specializing in disruptive innovations with high societal impact.

  We provide our customers with label free AI SaaS solutions that allow to create and execute custom unsupervised AI procedures in a simplified way, obtaining relevant results back with high added value to understand and model their use case data.

Our algorithms collect, calculate and analyze the data you need. This process does not require any prior labels (unsupervised AI) but can nevertheless intervene upstream of a supervised process to improve its results.

More concretely, this type of process allows you to:

  • reduce your high-dimensional data, e.g. for data-visualization purposes;
  • group them by homogeneities and symmetries to obtain « clusters »;
  • abstract the data clusters into characteristic prototypes / profiles / archetypes, allowing to summarize the original information into a few typical data points, easier and faster to analyze in detail (this transformation will also allow a data expert to characterize a cluster, and potentially assign it a label that can be used for supervised AI);
  • on the other hand, identify data that are not characteristic of clusters, atypical (rare or erroneous cases), allowing, for example, to highlight emerging cases, or on the contrary, to have clues on a potential bad data quality; identify multi-profiles data; and many other useful variations…

Thanks to unsupervised AI, the amount of data to be studied is drastically reduced as it is algorithmically sorted and summarized, allowing you to accelerate the production of all your data-related processes by automating its characterization or simply by accelerating its understanding by domain experts.
